If you've been keeping up with the history of some of these trucking companies, you know that some owners of some companies have had felony charges for stealing up to $2 million dollars from drivers. They were made to pay that money back. These same owners (charged with stealing from their working-class employees) are back in charge again.
I know many of us believe in, "forgive and forget." We know people can change. But, what if they don't?
Are you comfortable have a member of your management being a person who was known to steal from you all drivers?
How about when you start learning that people in every yard, throughout the US, are complaining of getting ripped off on their checks, having to return, over and over, to get the correct pay?
Still feel comfortable with your manager, who committed the felony of stealing from working people?
If you are having a hard time with this, any one of you can look up Wage Theft Complaint + Department of Labor + online form + (the name of your state). You can pretty easily fill out a form to let the DOL know that your checks are often missing money and you want it to stop.
Also...the Department of Labor put out an app, specifically to help contract drivers keep track of their time at work. It's an app called the "DOL-Timesheet." Download it to your phone and use it!
